Being famous is no joke.

People sure put in a lot of effort to pretend that they have no idea who I am.
It's sort of funny, but I'm happy when they really don't.
Back in the days, I really got that ball rolling, and I was starting to get ahead in the world.
Still, my music didn't pay me a living wage for very long, despite the fact that I'd invest serious money and time into that.
I was getting press, streams and things where starting to get a flow to it after my first album.
Got some attention from the biggest players in the game, and then I was picked up by MTV.
I went to the same school as the biggest Hip-Hop producer of all times in Norway, and I had all the connections.

They say that if you piss of the right people, you know you are doing something right, and I was definitely doing that.
It all came down to how I ran things; independent.
They would not let me work like that, because they wanted a piece of the pie, and that whole bias industry sure where not going to let me have my piece of the pie that I had been baking since the day I was born.
At the end of the day, they set me up, and being as independent, I had noone to back me up.

Everyone fell for it.
Like people who know me, close friends and family all ate that shit right up.
They know me, still they bought all those lies.
"They saw what really happened", however they didn't, like simple magic tricks, they never gave it a 2nd though, so I went from B list celebrity to D list over night.
I never cared if random people came up to me and talked smack, because I smack them right back.
However the people who knew me better, that's what's killing me.

Like on the verge of eating the pie in the sky.
All that momentum gone in a split second when I was 19 years old.
All the spite of people pretending they don't know who I am, but they sure as hell would never treat anyone they didn't know in that manner.
Yet, I'm a respectable person, you can bet your ass people know why not to step on my blue swayed.

It's been a long time, yet it still lingers.
The mistakes I made when I was young, is still shaping my life.
15 years have passed, and people tell me "it's so long ago, noone remember that".
Yet I'm reminded from one time to another, that I'm yet to claim my victory.
Being beaten with you hands tied to your back, is a special feeling.
No way to fight back in that moment, still I can see in their eyes, that they are already regretting it.

My first album was almost called "I'm not dead yet".
To this day, that is true.
Despite their efforts, I'm way stronger than they'll ever be.
They don't know it, even if they should've seen it already back then.
Victim to their own lazyness, they forged their own downfall.

The ball is once again rolling.
This time I owe noone anything.
I still have sponsors, but never the ones they will see coming.
I still have listeners, but who'd imagine what they are listening too.
The red carpets are being rolled out for me yet again, but this time there is no hype.
This time there is no good will carrying me, the underdog is slowly and steady becoming the heavy hitter.

From scratch.

Oh, and yeah, I went to a festival.
Haven't really dropped to much, but I've been lurking way more.
Maybe I do more blogging, as I've dropped out of social media these last 15 years.
SiD is officially dead, however FANWLKr is fricking liwid

It's weird to think about how long it's been since we where on the Fanwalk back in 2008, but there are a bunch of us thats still at it. Being caught up in this adulting thing, it's easy to loose track of time.

I still make plans to go to the EMAs and other Fanwalk renunions and stuff like that, but it's hard to really save up that money and go for it.

You can like see me on the right with my antique top hat.

During the pandemic and stuff like that it was just a mess even to book flights and stuff, but moving over to the online relm made it possible to join in on that, without spending a fortune on tickets back and forth and hotels and booze. I should have made a post about that back in 2020, but better late than never I guess.

It's easy to see that the spirit still lives on, and I do my best to stay in touch with the Fanwalkers on social media, and it's always a good feeling to see how they are doing. It seems some of them are living that dream still, like going to all the big concerts, moving up in the industry and keeping up with EMAs.
I know that a big part of it is keeping up the image, and with war and economic collapse going on in Europe, the struggle is real on all of us.
It's kind of ironic that so many see me as this rich person coming from a rich country, because I was able to go so far with my music, but the other side of that is starving, living on the street and making huge sacrifices to record an album, that didn't ever get released, and being stuck with a debt I could never pay.
Most people just saw the the upside, maybe listened in on it or even bought a CD, but the industry changed, and I just quit.
Back in 2019 I did my last show in my hometown and announced that I would leave that all behind, as I started working as a weldor and the magic of it was drained 3 times over.
As the blog name, I really got way to famous, but it really sucks to be on the cover of newspapers and all over TV, when you can't even afford to eat or pay rent. It's suppose to be like a good thing, and not like a huge problem for family and friends, like my father still insists that I'm this rich superstar and he is pissed because he haven't gotten a Ferrari yet. Like I'm building a car for myself from scraps just for fun...

No, it's like that adulting thing, where it just don't make any sense to spend 10.000€ on that magic dream that don't really pay off, or didn't for me anyway. It sure was fun, but I'm at a different place now. To get some out of my experience, I help out other musicians, and I still love going to big shows and helping out with some mastering. It's not work, it's something I do to keep that magic in my life. Like that magic that never happened for me, is still out there, but experiencing it from a far, is better than not at all.

I just read the other day about the new Walkman, and that brings it all back. I still use my W760i, and even if I have rebuilt it a few times, it's the same phone, with all those memories intact. Just new display and bottons.
It's not like I don't got a modern phone, I just picked up the new Xperia 10 IV, but I'm going to have downpayments on that thing for 2 years. My Xperia Performance is still holding out, and Z1 and Z1 compact might not run all the modern apps, but they are perfect to use on work, as I can swap displays on them in a jiffy now, and they are real Walkmans, so perfect for playing music on.
Being a part of the BETA testing for Walkman back in the days, it really made me sad when they announced that they where shutting it down, and no longer would be making phones that where focusing on playing music. Even if the new Walkmans are dedicated music players, I might get one instead of carrying an extra phone or two around.

To kind of get to the point about this, I have been on a bunch of concerts and festivals after I stopped being so public on social media. I think maybe it's time I just start posting more from those things, as even if it's nice to keep the memories for myself, I always love to share it with you guys to keep that Fanwalk spirit alive.

My new car

I boght a new car, so I would have time to work on my old car. It looked pretty solid, but when I was to clean up this tiny spec of rust on one of the rockers, I realized that they had covered up the real issues with this car.

Noone likes to use bondo, but theese guyes used a whole lot of it on top of the planks, cardboard, idustrial foam and other sorts of goodies they had stuck in there to make the rockers look like they existed

Time to bring out the welder, and get some fresh steel in there. The most timeconsuming parts of this is removing all the rust properly of the steel that stays on the car, and making new parts that fit in the holes perfectly, so it will be straight when it is done

I took about 4 months to finish this up, and the car is not really worth it because there are alot of issues with the drivetrain, engine and electrical, but it is not like I can just get a new car, because this is the new car. LOL, my old car is still in better nick, but maybe this car will catch up in a few years

#Walkmanphone

This is my favorite Walkman and phone. I may have owned as many as 15, but I am old enough to have owned a few with cassettes, minidisc and later on the app. I have a bunch of Sony phones, but the ones with Walkman apps are always compatible with music. Gotta love it

Welding ain't easy

Learning to weld so I can fix up my golf and maybe get a better job.
Takes up a lot of time, so I'm sorry that I have not been that outgoing.
Finally got over 1000 streams on Spotify for a Norwegian track, but still need to get a song recorded in a proper studio before I drop music.
Made a remix for Gorgon City, free stream and download.
Click photo to play, click the dots to open a menu and select "last ned" to download the song as mp3.

Music

For some this might be easy, but I see it as a big decision picking format for my music.
I just got a memory card with 32 gigabytes, so now I can use more space to keep that quality-sound on the music I put on my phone.
MP3 is like modern tapes, convenient but at a great cost.
WAV maybe older, but still just like the CD with thicker sound and more substance.

So it is a colection now?

 Short story long.

A friend of a friend cut himselves when very drunk.
They did not know that the "hospital" is closed at 4 in the morning, so I had to drive them to another town to get to a doctor.
My friend gave me he's W995 for the ride, happy me since I wanted that one bad.
I probebly sold hundreds of them since I was a salesman for a big operator at the time it was new, but I could never aford one for myselves.

Been missing my orginal Fanwalk phone, the W760i, and after I finely got a new display and various parts for it from the US it's alive!
I found all my old txts, and the lost numbers to all the Fanwalkers, but now I don't dare to call them...

Other news, my new Z1 Compact with the Smart Image Stand.
This phone is so good it is insane, beats my Nintendo wii by 1450 mhz and my computer by 200 mhz, to fast for yall.
To remove the new phone film or wait untill it falls off?

Just melting metal.

Finely got a grown up job as a welder. Made this blue stand the other day for practice. It is a stand for building-lights made of aluminum. People still tell me to get a proper job, but I don't think I'd get anything more proper then this without selling my soul :-P

About time.

Been keeping the blogging on the down low.
Had some stalker issues, and this time it's not me doing the stalking...
Not that anything special has been up the last year.
My car is broken, my album flopped, left her and it's cold, but getting better.
2012 ended in a long ass party/getaway/victory.

My cell phone had 10 years of dust on the lens, so the pictures be like my memory: blury.
Went to the 7 year aneversery for MTV Norway in Oslo.

Me looking like shit in a pretty suit.

And then...
You can read?

The Fanwalkers walk forever!

Heidi Klum looking fresh.

If it's not old yet, it's a classic.

Luda!

Yo ring is on fai-a-ahhhhh-uhh-ohhh-o-å.

Whats left of the glass zeplin is still laying around in Frankfurt.
Who put that there?

So fo' 2013? Nada....
I was expecting the end of the world and shit, so I sold the rights to my life to a crappy realityshow and spend the cash on booze and pokemoncards.
Some band want me in, so maybe I'll be a backupsinger to the Hillbillibillsbuildersband unless someone else will pay me to be a awesomelyepic blogger.
